I love music. But if you are anything like me, you know it can be difficult to find great Sunday School songs. Even the most amazing tune, after it has had its time in the spotlight, just begins to feel old. For this list I did have one additional requirement for the songs… they had to be fun to sing. There is certainly a place for the slower more reflective songs in worship, but for this particular list I am only interested in the upbeat ones! The songs need to still present the same Gospel truth, but in a more modern-sounding style. I still love the old classics we used to sing in church. But when I discover a team of people that have put a modern twist on old Sunday School songs to make them sound new and fresh again, I get so excited!!! Lyrics: I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus; No turning back, no turning back.

Sing Along Worship Songs
S inging with children is one of the best ways for them to be motivated to learn. Not only that, it is a good way to get exercise too. There are many Christian songs for kids that I learned as a child. We sang these Christian songs in school, on the playground, at home and at special events like Vacation Bible School or day camp. It has been my honor to be the music director for several VBS events and I both taught and learned songs with the children. Choosing just fifteen awesome Christian songs for kids was a challenge because there are so many good ones out there. See if you know any of the ones I chose and share your own favorites in the comments below. Teach them to your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Club is the brain child of Ron Hamilton, who when he was twenty-seven years old lost his eye to cancer. Since that time Ron Hamilton has been writing songs for Patch the Pirate clubs in churches and on radio.
Christian Songs for Kids
If you have extra time in Sunday School, I recommend adding a few worship songs. This is an easy way to lead worship if you have a multimedia projector and a computer connected to the Internet. Often you can take a familiar tune and turn it into a Sunday School song. Feel free to share you recommendation in the comment box below.
Have you listened to a group of kids singing songs and praise to God? There are many great Christian songs that help children learn about God and many to choose from. I love hearing kids sing songs I grew up singing and sharing my favorites with my daughter. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.
